Booking from the day you're looking at

In the staff app, New booking now opens on the day the calendar is showing instead of today. And a second tap on a day in month view opens it.

This one is in the staff app on your phone, not the dashboard. Two changes to the calendar, both about the same thing: the day you are looking at should be the day you are working on.

Press + while the calendar is open and New booking starts on the day that's on screen — not today.

Which day it picks

Whichever one the calendar's own header names. In day view that's the day on the grid; in week view it's the day you've scrolled to at the left; in month view it's the day you last tapped. All three are the same selection, so it follows you between them.

  • Only the day is filled in. A + says nothing about a time, so you still pick one, and the list of times is the same shortlist as before.
  • Pressed from anywhere else — Home, Clients, the back office — there's no day on screen to mean, so it starts on today as it always did.
  • Nothing is booked yet. It's the wizard's starting point, and you can change the date on the step where it's asked like any other.
You can still book any time

Nothing here narrowed what staff may book. The times offered are the ones that fit neatly around the day's appointments; the picker beside them still takes any time at all, including outside your opening hours and inside someone's time off. The one thing it asks about is double-booking a stylist, and only once you've actually done it.

Tapping a day twice in month view

Month view answers how busy the month is, and tapping a day lists what's on it in the tray underneath. What it couldn't do was show you the times, so tapping the day you already have open now takes you into day view for it — the same move week view's day headings already made.

On the dashboard, meanwhile

The dashboard's own Schedule already does this a different way: click an empty spot in the calendar and the booking form opens with that stylist, that day and that exact time filled in. Neither change above alters it, and the + in the dashboard's bottom bar still starts on today.
