Coupon codes, at checkout and online

You can now make discount codes and apply them to a sale. Each code takes a percentage or an amount off, and you decide who can use it and when.

What a code can do

• A percentage or an amount off the whole sale.
• A first and a last day. The last day counts in full, so a code that ends Sunday works all day Sunday.
• A limit on how many times it can be used in total, and how many times one client can use it.
• A minimum total, checked before the discount comes off.
• First-time clients only.
• Services the sale has to include. The discount still comes off the whole sale, not only those services.
• Where it works: anywhere, online only, or in person only.

Using a code

• At checkout, press Coupon in the cart and type the code. This works whether or not your booking page takes codes, so you can run codes you haven't published.
• On your booking page, once it's turned on, clients see a box for a code and the discount before they book. If a code has stopped working by the time they book, the page tells them why before anything is booked.
• A deposit never comes to more than the sale. If a code brings the price under the deposit, the deposit comes down to match.
• One discount per sale. Applying a code replaces a discount you typed by hand, and typing one replaces the code.

Open a code to see every time it was used. A code that's been used can't be deleted, so its history stays. Switch it off instead.
