Finished appointments that still owe money
A new Open tickets card on the dashboard lists finished appointments with money still owed, so cash nobody recorded doesn't go missing from your numbers.
When cash is taken at a visit but never recorded, the sale stays unpaid, and your takings, Payments and Insights all count it that way. The dashboard now lists those appointments so you can catch them.
The Open tickets card on your dashboard shows appointments from the last 14 days that have ended with money still owed. It only appears when there's something on it.
What you can do from it
- Paid in cash records the rest of that sale as cash and closes it. The payment is dated when the appointment ended, so it lands on the right day in your numbers.
- When there's more than one, a button at the bottom records them all as cash, after asking you to confirm. Only use it if every one was paid in cash.
- No-show marks the appointment as a no-show. Nothing is recorded as paid.
- An appointment held by a payment plan, or with a card payment still going through, shows Open instead, so it can't be paid twice.
Recording cash here doesn't email the client a receipt, since they paid at the visit. No tip is recorded either.
Two reminder emails
- Appointments left open: an hour after a team member's last appointment of the day, if any of that day's appointments still show money owed. It goes to that team member, if they have a login.
- Open tickets each morning: from 8:00 AM, to owners, for anything from earlier days that's still open.
Each one can be turned off under Settings › Notifications, on the Bookings tab, in the dashboard or the staff app.
Inchair never closes these on its own. Marking old sales as paid would count no-shows and skipped payments as money in.
The card is on the dashboard in a web browser only. The staff app doesn't list these yet, and the emails link to the dashboard.
