Work, processing, work
A service knows the part you're hands-on for and the part the client spends developing. The middle stays bookable.
Options and add-ons
One service, several lengths — each with its own price and duration — and extras that ride along with it.
Confirm or review
Bookings confirm themselves, or wait as requests. The deposit is taken either way.
A service menu that matches your price list
Every service carries its own name, description, category, duration and price. Where the price genuinely depends on the head in front of you, it shows as starting at — or shows nothing at all, and gets quoted in the chair.
Options give one service several lengths, each a full price and duration of its own rather than a surcharge bolted on top. Add-ons ride along with the services they belong to, so a beard trim is offered on the cut and nowhere else.
- Fixed prices, starting-at prices, or none shown
- Options with their own duration, price and deposit
- Add-ons attached per service, not to the whole menu
- Call-only services stay on your menu and off the booking page

Processing time is time you get back
A two-hour colour is rarely two hours of your hands. Inchair splits a service into the work, the processing and the finish, and treats the developing window as time another client can sit in.
Buffers work the other way round. The minutes after an appointment for the bowl, the sweep and the walk across town are held off the calendar without being sold to the client as part of their appointment.
- Processing windows stay bookable for someone else
- Buffer time after a service, per service or per option
- Lead time, so nobody books the slot you're standing in

This is the page your clients actually use
Not a mockup. The booking page as it renders: the stylist step, the service menu in the categories you gave it, and the times that are genuinely free once your hours, their hours and every buffer have been counted.
- Four steps, and a client can stop at any of them
- Only the days with something open are offered
- The same page on a phone, which is where most of them are

The rules the page books under
Every booking that arrives has already cleared them.
Your hours, their hours
Salon opening hours, each stylist's own weekly availability, and their time off. A slot has to clear all three.
Accepted, or reviewed first
A booking confirms on the spot, or lands as a request waiting on you. The deposit is collected up front either way.
Their stylist, or anyone
Clients can choose who they see, and only the people who actually perform that service are offered.
Several services, one visit
A cut and a colour in one appointment, built from the real segments so the timing holds end to end.
Your cancellation policy, in your words
It shows on the booking form, and can require a tick before the booking goes through.
On your own website too
The same booking flow embeds in a site you already have, WordPress included, without sending anyone elsewhere.
Questions
- Can a client book more than one service in the same appointment?
- Yes. A multi-service appointment is built from each service's real segments rather than added up as one block, so processing time and buffers still apply to the parts that have them.
- Can I stop clients booking certain services online?
- Yes. Any service can be call-only: it stays live in your admin and on your price list — a consultation you'd rather talk through first, say — and simply isn't offered on the booking page.
- Can I approve bookings before they're confirmed?
- Yes. In review mode every online booking arrives as a request to accept or decline, and the deposit is collected at the moment of the request rather than after you accept.
- What stops someone booking a slot ten minutes from now?
- Lead time. Slots inside it stop being offered on the booking page, while your own staff can still book into that window from the dashboard.
- Can I put booking on the website I already have?
- Yes. There's an embeddable version of the booking flow, and a WordPress plugin that drops it in with a shortcode.
