Colour themes, dark mode, and five for Halloween
Pick your own colour theme and light, dark or auto mode for the dashboard and the staff app, under Settings → Your account → Appearance. Six themes to keep, and five Halloween ones for a limited time.
The dashboard and the staff app can now wear a colour theme of your choosing, in light or dark. It's a setting for you, not the salon: your team each pick their own, and clients never see any of it.
Go to Settings → Your account → Appearance (opens in a new tab), pick a theme and a mode, and the dashboard changes as you click. There's nothing to save.
The themes
- Classic is how Inchair has always looked, and it's what you have until you choose something else.
- Sky, Lime, Magenta, Violet and Cyan are here to stay.
- Ghost Light, Witch's Brew, Moonlit Hollow, Jack-o'-Lantern and Vampire are for Halloween, and only for a limited time. They're listed under their own Halloween heading while they're available.
The dashboard also picked up a little depth along the way, whichever theme you use: a soft glow behind the page, and gradients on the side menu, the next-appointment row and the main buttons.
Light, dark or auto
- Auto follows your device's own light or dark setting, so if your phone or computer switches to dark in the evening, Inchair does too.
- If you've never chosen, the dashboard stays light and the staff app follows your phone, as they always have. The Halloween themes are the exception: they start in dark until you pick Light or Auto yourself.
Where it applies
- It follows you. Your choice is saved to your login, so pick a theme on the salon iPad and it's on your phone the next time you open the staff app.
- Your booking page doesn't change. Clients still see your salon's own colour, set under Settings → Appearance (opens in a new tab).
If you're wearing a Halloween theme when they're taken away, you'll be back on Classic. Your pick is remembered, so it comes back on its own if they do.
