Receipts, emailed when a sale is paid

Clients now get their receipt by email when a sale is paid off, with a link that opens without signing in. You can turn it off under Settings › Reminders.

Every receipt Inchair makes now comes from one place, so the printed copy, the email and the client's own copy always match. A cash visit gets the same receipt as a card one.

When a sale is paid off, the client is emailed their receipt, once per sale. It's on to start. To turn it off, go to Settings › Reminders and switch off Email clients their receipt.

When it goes out

  • However the sale was paid: at checkout in the dashboard, in the staff app, or on a pay link the client finished later.
  • Only if the client has an email address on file.
  • Once per sale. If one doesn't arrive, you can send it again by hand.
  • Not when you record cash from the Open tickets card, since the client paid at the visit.

Sending one yourself

Use Email receipt on the last step of checkout, in the dashboard or the staff app, or Send receipt on a sale. Each shows who it was last emailed to and when. Print receipt on a sale opens a copy to print.

What the client gets

  • A link to their receipt that opens without signing in, so it still works from their inbox months later. It opens that one receipt and nothing else.
  • Replies go to your business's email address, if you've added one.
  • In their account on your booking page, Receipt now opens your receipt instead of Stripe's, so cash payments have one too.
