Notifications on your phone

The staff app on Android now sends you a notification for everything Inchair emails you about, and tapping one opens it.

Shipped 7 October 2026·2 min read

Everything Inchair emails you about now also arrives as a notification on your phone, if you use the Inchair staff app on Android. You hear about a booking while you're with a client, not when you next check your inbox.

Open the app, allow notifications when it asks, and that's it. Each switch under Settings › Notifications covers the email and the notification together.

What you get notified about

  • A new booking made for you, and a booking request waiting for you to confirm or decline.
  • A message from a client, and a reminder if a client's message has gone unanswered for 12 hours.
  • A new client who made an account on your booking page (owners).
  • Appointments still open at the end of your day, and the next morning's summary of earlier ones (owners).

Tapping a notification opens what it's about: the appointment, the conversation, the client, or your unpaid sales. You confirm, decline or reply from there, the same as always.

Turning them off

Switch a kind off under Settings › Notifications, on the web or in the app, and both the email and the notification stop. To keep the emails but silence your phone, turn notifications off for Inchair in your phone's own settings. Signing out of the app stops notifications to that phone.

Android only for now

The iPhone app doesn't send notifications yet. Your emails are unchanged either way.
