Your first twenty minutes
The four things worth doing before you send anyone your link, in the order that avoids redoing work.
You don't have to finish setting up before you can take a booking. But four things done in this order will save you doing them twice.
The order
- [Services and pricing](/admin/services). Everything else refers back to your menu — how long a slot is, what a deposit is worth, which stylist can take it. Start here.
- [Business hours](/admin/settings/business-hours). The salon's opening hours, in your salon's timezone. Set the timezone first under Settings → Business details (opens in a new tab), because changing it later moves every hour you've already entered.
- [Booking rules](/admin/settings/booking-rules). How much notice you need, whether a booking confirms itself or waits for you, and whether you ask for a deposit or a card on file.
- [Stripe](/admin/settings/payments). Only if you want deposits or card payments — but if you do, this has to come before you switch a deposit on.
A deposit needs somewhere to land. Turn one on with no Stripe account connected and Settings flags it as needing Stripe — so connect the account first, then set the rule.
What's good enough to open with
Five services with honest durations and the hours you actually work. You can add variants, add-ons, per-stylist availability and everything else once bookings are coming in — none of it blocks a client from booking today.
The one thing worth getting right on day one is duration, including your clean-down time. A slot that's fifteen minutes short compounds across a full day and it's the hardest thing to fix once people are booked into it.

Your booking page is live at your salon's address on inchair.app the moment you're approved. You don't have to connect a domain, style anything, or finish your client list before you share it.
