Sending a campaign
A campaign is one email to a list you choose: everyone who hasn't been in since spring, clients of one stylist, birthdays this month. Build it from blocks and send it now or later.
Where an automation waits for something to happen, a campaign is the email you decide to send today: new hours for the holidays, a stylist joining, openings on Saturday.
Go to Marketing › Campaigns (opens in a new tab), press New campaign, and start from a template or a blank email. It's saved as you go, so a draft can wait until you're ready.
1. Who gets it
With no filters, it goes to everyone on your list who's opted in to marketing email, guests included. Add filters to narrow it down: every filter has to match.
- Visited in the last so many days, or hasn't visited in so many
- Has had a service from a category, or their stylist is someone in particular
- Has an upcoming appointment, or has none
- Has visited so many times, or spent over an amount
- Birthday in a given month, or became a client recently
The count beside the filters shows how many clients match and how many of them can actually get it. The second number is smaller whenever some of them have no email address or have opted out of marketing email.
2. The email
The email is drawn the way it will arrive, with your logo or name at the top and your address at the bottom. It's built from blocks: press + between any two to add one, and tap a block to change it.
- Heading, Text and Divider for the words.
- Photo, Photo and text and Two photos for pictures you upload. Side-by-side blocks stack on a phone, with the photo first.
- Button opens your booking page, or a link of your own.
- Coupon, Stylist and Service show one of your codes, a stylist's photo and bio, or a service with its price, straight from your settings. Change the price or the headshot and a draft picks it up.
Merge tags like {first_name} fill in each client's own details when it sends.
3. Send
- The preview is the exact email the first person on the list will get, names filled in.
- Send me a test emails it to you first. Its unsubscribe link is switched off, so trying it can't take you off your own list.
- Send now, or Schedule it for a day and time in your salon's timezone. A scheduled campaign goes to whoever matches the filters at that moment, not when you wrote it.
Your salon's address has to be filled in under Settings › Business (opens in a new tab). The law requires a postal address on every marketing email, so a campaign won't go without one.
Afterwards
A sent campaign shows how many it went to, how many were skipped and why, how many of those clients booked in the next two weeks, and how many used its coupon. It doesn't track opens or clicks.
